Our Men’s National Team defeated San Marino 4-0 away and reached 8 points in Group 8 of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Our team was superior throughout the match and secured the victory with goals from Loizou (10’), Stelios Andreou (59’), Kastanos (penalty 67’), and Kakoullis (79’).
Loizou opened the scoring with a moving shot following a cross from Pileas.
Stelios Andreou scored his first goal for the national team with a close-range finish after Loizou’s header hit the post.
Kastanos converted a penalty won by Kakoullis, who later scored a beautiful moving shot from Correia’s cross to seal the final 4-0 scoreline.
Pittas, Laifis, and Pileas received yellow cards and will be suspended for the next match.
